Clelia established this estate in 1994; right away she knew the potential of Colli di Lapio.  Maybe the finest vineyard in Campania for Fiano, it's steep and soils are composed of limestone, clay and some volcanic compounds.  It has wonderful exposure to the sun and the ever present Mediterranean winds from the West.  The estate is farmed organically with good insect integration to combat harmful pests; grains are grown between rows to promote bio diversity and natural integration of nitrogen into the soils.  She chooses to use only soft pressing and stainless steel to make her Fiano.  The estate is close to the village of Lapio and is considered the 'Grand Cru' zone for Fiano production.  This Fiano has been well awarded in both Italy and America, garnering over 90 points nearly every vintage.  While Fiano is a Southern Italian, Mediterranean variety the wine produced here has Chablis like character that will reward you well with a little aging.
