Bodegas Atalaya
Bodegas Atalaya is located in the DO of Alamansa, located in the southwest
of Spain between Jumilla and La Mancha. The region is very dry with warm
days but cool nights thanks to an average elevation of 2400 ft above
sea level. The indigenous variety of the region is Garnacha Tintorera,
(Alicante Bouschet) which gives the wines a dark inky color and deep dark fruit.
The estate is 26 Ha in size and the vineyards range in age from 15 to 85
years old and are planted in Chalky soils typical of the region.
