Prà

Until Graziano took over his family estate in the early 1980s, Prà family grapes were sold in bulk to the local cooperative. Since then, Graziano Prà has strived to make terroir-driven, sustainably farmed wines in the Veneto, leaving behind the legacy of bulk wine production that was commonplace in the region until relatively recently. Graziano’s winemaking philosophy is simple: in order to achieve purity in a wine, it must be made in a way that respects both the land and the people who manage it. This philosophy is reflected in Graziano’s ability to harness the unique volcanic soils available to him on the steep hillsides of Soave, which are made up of dark-colored soils consisting of basalt and tuffaceous rocks. The results are wines that are clean, focused, and complex.
