Varietal: 100% Garnacha
Vineyards: A proprietary single vineyard located in the Axarquía planted in 2012 with vine cuttings of old Garnacha vineyards in Calatayud. The vineyards in Málaga are the most extreme in all of Europe. The mountainside vineyards are planted at inclinations of up to 70°. There is no terracing, ladders, or mechanization to assist with the harvest. The vineyards are worked completely by hand. Traditional dry farmed viticulture. Organic Gobelet trained vines.
Soils: Slate and white quartz.
Winemaking: Primary fermentation in 5T open top fermenters. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation in neutral 600L French oak demi-muids. Eight months in neutral 600L French oak demi-muids.
