Fortulla is located on the Tuscan coast just North of the famous village Castiglioncello in the IGT Terratico di Bibbiona. It's a small production, quality estate: 5Ha planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Vineyards are planted on cliffs directly above the Mediterranean that are exposed to tremendous amounts of sun and very persistent winds, which combine to yield fruit with perfect phenolic ripeness while preserving natural acidity. Winemaker Luca d'Attoma brings his many years of experience from growing and vinifiying Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc to the winemaking team and has put the estate on a track of very high quality. Total production is a mere 900 cases and every detail is taken very seriously to establish a very high tradition that can be built on to make better and better wines.
