  • Varietals: 100% Garnacha

  • Vineyards: Located in Barrio de la Estación, Haro, Rioja Alta. Vineyards were planted between 1927-1947. Traditional Rioja viticulture. A selection of head trained Garnacha vineyards planted on the viticultural climactic extremes of Rioja Alta. The high altitude climate provides the perfect cool temperatures for growing high quality old-vine Garnacha destined for rosé.

  • Soils: Calcareous (limestone rich) clay and ferrous (iron rich) clay.

  • Winemaking: The wine is made from the free run juice following a very short maceration. Muga only uses 50% of the premium must. The fermentation is carried out plot by plot in small used wooden casks, 500 L vats, and 1000 L vats. Four months of fine sur lie ageing.
